This is so empowering. For those of you who get hate on Tumblr from those awful anons, just remember this. Love you all!!

not exactly true.it also depends on what you’re starting weight is -_--besides, exercising doesn’t mean it’s healthy nor does healthy mean exercising.

“RAPID” doesn’t mean unhealthy, and “SLOW” doesn’t mean healthy. I feel like people are getting that impression. The image is talking about the effects of unhealthy weight loss (which tends to be rapid) vs the effects of healthy weight loss (which tends to be slower).
A person who is 300lbs will most certainly lose weight rapidly after switching from an unhealthy lifestyle to exercising regularly, and eating healthier. People with more weight to lose are able to lose 10-15lbs a month, and that’s perfectly fine. But someone who is already a really low BMI, losing that much weight in a month is not healthy, especially if they’re exercising like an olympiad and undereating.
On the other hand, someone who loses 10lbs over the course of 6months is not necessarily healthy. Especially if they’re starving themselves, yo-yoing, and binging on unhealthy crap, on top of not being active. Is the weight loss slow? Yes. But it’s not healthy. But if someone is a low-ish BMI and only has like 5lbs to lose, if it takes them 5months to lose because they’re maintaining a deficit of 100 calories a day, while eating clean and doing weight training to burn fat, then that is healthy.
I hope you all understand the difference.

Agreed!! :)
